 October General  Meeting

ACF KY Chapter's General meeting will be held on October 22, 07, at Jefferson Community College - from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The main purpose of the meeting will be the two announcements - election and awards nominations.

1. Announcement - Nominees for the 2008 - 2009 ACF KY Chapter Board of Directors. Each nominee will have an opportunity to speak about their vision for our chapter.

2. Announcement - Annual ACF Awards nominees.

Annual ACF KY Chapter Awards

Every year, the American Culinary Federation honors its members, top industry professionals, and students through an impressive Annual Awards & Recognition Program. Each chapter contributes in the qualifying process at the local level, so after confirmation at the Regional Conferences, it culminates at the National Convention. From a President's Medal to the prestigious USA ACF Chef Of the Year, these awards represent the highest honors the ACF can bestow upon an individual.

 

Nominations for the following awards will be accepted:

U.S.A.'s Chef of the Year Award, ACF Pastry Chef of the Year Award, ACF Chef Educator of the Year Award, ACF Chef Professionalism Award, ACF Student Culinarian of the Year Award, ACF Hermann G. Rusch Chef's Achievement Award and ACF Achievement of Excellence Award.

 

Deadline for awards nominations is also set for October 15, '07.

All nominations to be submitted to acfcommunications@insightbb.com or by mail to ACF KY Chapter, 4309 Danny Dr. New Albany IN 47150.

Awards Nominees will be announced during our General Meeting on October 22^nd (Jefferson Community College). See attachment containing Awards descriptions.

 

2008 ACF KY Chapter  Board Election

Our new board of directors will be elected on November 12, '07. The election will take place at the Baptist Seminary's Honeycutt building in the north gallery located at 2825 Lexington Rd., Louisville. Our member Chef Pam Price will host this wonderful event.

Looking ahead in 2008.

President's Dinner

The 2007-2008 board of directors will be handing the torch to the newly elected 2008 - 2009 board of directors. The chapter's leadership transition will be celebrated on January 12, 2008 during a special Gala at a location which will be determined soon.

 We want to thank you for your involvement thus far in our chapter's activities and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting and all other future events.
